Our mission at Good Samaritan Ministries is to "teach only the Kingdom". Each of the teachings below is designed to touch on one or more of these Kingdom Concepts.
People who learn how to listen without judging, who listen deeply, and who listen with compassion will find that they are connecting with others at a much deeper level than ever before. It has been said that "the first act of love is to listen."
Learning how to ask open ended questions and learning how to listen to the Holy Spirit while we are listening to others is foundational in understanding another person's story.
Tonight Mike taught on the importance of knowing who you are. He talked about the difference the healing of one person can make on future generations. The enemy always attacks your identity, so it's important to know who you are!
We never know the impact of one encounter and we never know if there is going to be another opportunity, so take each encounter with each person seriously because it can have eternal implications.
Tonight Mike brought in 5 people who first taught the class about hearing God's voice in a personal and prophetic way and then ministered and demonstrated how that works in each of our lives. Each person in the class heard the Spirit's voice through others who were sensitive to voice of the Holy Spirit!.
At the end of the class, Mike asks the group an open ended question. "What did you get out of tonight's class?"
God is very boundried and He created us to be like Him. Boundaries are about owning your own heart--being authentic. Healthy relationships are relationships that have good boundaries. Unhealthy relationships don't have good boundaries.
Do you want to know what God has to say about romance and love and sex? In this 3,000+ year old book we learn about attraction, dating, courtship, considering the cost, marriage, the honeymoon, and how to fight fair in marriage.
Many of us don't realize how important our identity is. It's generally the first thing that the enemy attacks. Most of us think, incorrectly, that our identity flows from our performance, but in the Kingdom, our performance flows from our identity.
